EDS Group, a valued Caorda client since 2014, embarked on a bold rebranding journey in 2024, evolving into Authenticcity—a name that reflects the vibrant and authentic urban spaces they design. Specializing in grassroots-driven landscape architecture, Authenticcity has spent over 20 years crafting stunning waterfronts, riverside retreats, and community parks for municipalities across Canada.
With a fresh identity in place, Authenticcity needed a cohesive brand presence, including a new logo, colour scheme, business cards, letterhead, and professional email signature, along with a dynamic website to showcase their impressive portfolio. With just eight weeks to bring it all together, they turned to Caorda to make their vision a reality.
Reinventing EDS Group:
The rebranding process began with a visioning exercise to define what Authenticcity wanted to be known for. Through a collaborative planning session, Caorda explored multiple logo concepts and refined them through a thoughtful revision process. The final design represents the four key aspects of Authenticcity’s service approach: engagement, concept planning, parks and open spaces, and environmental planning. The segmented design also visually connects to site plan drawings, reinforcing their expertise in landscape architecture. The warm earth-tone color palette further reflects their deep-rooted connection to natural spaces.
With the new logo in place, Caorda created a brand use guide to ensure consistency in future applications. A digital letterhead template and professional email signature were designed to maintain a polished, professional presence across all communications. For business cards, Authenticcity wanted something distinctive. Caorda partnered with a local print shop to carefully select high-quality paper stock and a premium coating finish, ensuring every card left a lasting impression.
An Authentic Website:
With branding finalized, the focus shifted to the website. The primary goals were:
- A streamlined, four-page site
- A strong representation of Authenticcity’s unique approach
- A showcase of their extensive project portfolio spanning BC, Alberta, and Ontario
To create an immediate emotional connection, Caorda’s in-house video specialist curated and blended video clips for a compelling homepage experience. Four carefully selected visuals highlight the impact of Authenticcity’s designs: a father walking hand-in-hand with his young daughter, a grandmother reading to her grandchild on a park bench, a winter celebration in a mountain village, and a woman enjoying a quiet stroll through a greenspace.
The project was completed on time, bringing the brand’s vision to life while delivering a clear, focused message to the target audience and positioning Authenticcity as a leader in thoughtful community-driven design.
